Last update: 05/07/2012 at 9:00 PM. The bikes that we sell are priced from $100 to $150. We are selling bikes very quickly and get new bikes every day. Recent drives by Webster Soccer League, St. Thomas More Church, Irondequoit United Church of Christ, and Pittsford Rotary have brought in over 700 hundred bikes. Many thanks to those folks as well as to individuals who bring bikes in every day. There are some nice ones to sell but it’s a slow process to dig them out and get pictures here. Stop by!  We always have bikes that have not been photographed. Read on!

R Community Bikes is a grassroots, 501(c)3 organization that collects and repairs used bicycles for distribution, free of charge, to Rochester, NY's most needy children and adults.  In the year 2011 we refurbished and gave away over 2700 bikes to the members of our community!

you will see that we are a large, all-volunteer organization. As such, we have considerable expenses. We refurbish and sell some of the better bikes that are donated to us to help pay those expenses.

All bikes are repaired and fully adjusted before being sold. If you want to tune and refurbish a bike yourself, that’s fine too. The bikes are classified into groups for your convenience. If you are interested in one of the bikes, please come down to our shop at 226 Hudson Ave., Google map Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30AM to 1:00PM. You may have to wait a few days to pick up bikes that need tuning. All sales are in person. No sales on the web. We take no credit or debit cards. Cash only. We strongly recommend that you bring a helmet for test rides.

We make every effort to keep this inventory up to date, but we always have bikes not shown here. If you're looking for a good used bike at a reasonable price, please come down to see us. Note the days and hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 1:00pm. We are closed on major holidays. Tell the person at the front door that you have come to buy a bike.
